It Happened On #13

History REALLY needs to get more exciting. No wonder people hate history classes!

Here’s another It Happened On. I tried to find the most exciting events and this is all I could come up with. Sad.

It happened on October 10 2004…Christopher Reeve, who became famous for his starring role in four Superman films, died from heart failure at the age of 52

Also on October 10 1969, The U.S. Navy transferred 80 river patrol boats to the South Vietnamese Navy. This was the largest transfer of naval equipment since the war began and was part of the ongoing Vietnamization program. Under this program, the United States sought to turn over responsibility for the fighting to the South Vietnamese so that U.S. troops could be withdrawn from Vietnam

I’m interested in the Vietnam War so that’s why the above entry is there. US lost that war and hasn’t won one since, but Canada still needs their protection. Canada’s one submarine won’t cut it
