Mo Bro Status

I looked into Movember and realized I had to sign up for it. So I did at Movember.com and now I’m a Mo Bro!

If you haven’t heard of it, get out from under that rock and I’ll explain

It’s basically a charitable event where males (and apparently females – Mo Sis) grow a moustache for the month of November. For the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men groom and trim their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Mo Bros raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts

Mo Bros become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November. Through their actions and words, they raise awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health

The funds raised in Canada support men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives. These funds are directed to programs run directly by Movember and our men’s health partner, Prostate Cancer Canada

At the end of the month, participants are supposed to throw a party but I’ll skip this

I took a picture to serve as a Before picture and from time to time I will update this picture to track the growing process. I can also blog about my (mis)adventures with the moustache.

I’m not photogenic and rarely take a picture of myself but it’s for a good cause. I shaved yesterday

If you would like to donate to this cause, click here

Thank you

  1. Very cool!! Have you ever tried growing a moustache before or just-been-too-lazy-to-shave for more than a few days? 😉 I didn’t realize you live in Canada! I’m from Michigan and my Dad and his parents were from Canada. He was born in Ontario. 🙂
