It Happened On #73

It’s difficult finding exciting historical events related to Canada. Such a boring past

It happened on December 9 1755…the first post office in Canada opens, along with subsidized direct mail communication with Great Britain by ship. It is also the origin of Cunard Line (whatever that is)

Also on December 9 1977, an executive jet crashes in Labrador, killing 8 people, including 4 executives of Churchill Falls Corp

On a side note, I’ll probably start posting again starting Monday, or even today – my inbox is full of emails from people requesting I start posting again. Or not…
